ForeLoop helps golfers organize and score rounds, groups, trips, and leagues. This policy explains the information ForeLoop processes and why.
We process account and profile information you provide, such as your name, email address, profile photo, home state or course, preferred tees, handicap, and optional GHIN number. We store golf information you or other participants enter, including rounds, courses, players, hole-by-hole scores, games, groups, trips, leagues, invitations, responses, and dashboard preferences.
Location access is optional. If you choose “Use my location,” the app accesses approximate or precise device location to determine a city, state, or region and find nearby courses. For nearby-course lookup, coordinates and available city or region information are sent over HTTPS to ForeLoop’s servers and used to search our course database. We do not store your device coordinates in your account profile or share them with other golfers. Request URLs containing location information may appear in hosting or server logs and remain there according to the applicable log retention settings. A region preference may also be stored on your device. You can deny location permission and search for courses by name or select a state manually.
Course, member, and GHIN searches send the terms you enter to our servers. Searches may also be sent to the relevant course or GHIN provider to fulfill your request, and search terms may appear in server logs.
The app collects crash and diagnostic reports to troubleshoot failures and improve reliability. Reports can include timestamps, app and operating-system versions, error types, the operation that failed, HTTP status codes, and diagnostic references or error messages. Reports are queued on your device and uploaded to ForeLoop after account sign-in, where they are associated with your account. These reports are retained for troubleshooting; they do not include device coordinates or search query strings in the recorded operation.
We use information to provide authentication, profiles, scoring, statistics, invitations, league and trip features, course search, handicap-related features, security, support, and service reliability. Passwords are stored only as one-way hashes. Authentication tokens and optional credentials stored by the app use platform secure storage where supported.
Your name and optional profile photo can be shown to other golfers through member search, friends, and features you join or use, such as a shared round, group, trip, or league. Golf results and team information are visible to participants and people with access to the relevant round or league. We use service providers for hosting, database, email delivery, authentication, course information, and related operations. Google sign-in and optional GHIN connections exchange the information needed to complete the sign-in or handicap-related action you request. We do not sell personal information.
We store member reports, report reasons and details, a snapshot of the reported profile photo, block preferences, and review decisions to investigate abuse. Reports are accessible only to authorized ForeLoop reviewers. Photo snapshots are removed when review is completed; report records and review notes are retained for safety and dispute handling. We retain information while needed to operate ForeLoop and meet legitimate security or legal needs. You may change profile information in the app. You may deny location permission and select a state manually.
In the app, open Edit profile → Delete account. On the website, sign in and request account deletion. Type DELETE and confirm the request. No support email is required. A confirmation shows your request reference and completion deadline; you can revisit the same screen to see the request.
We complete verified requests within 30 days. Your account stays available while the request is being processed. Personal account and profile data, including your photo and GHIN connection, will be removed or anonymized. Shared golf results may retain non-identifying scores needed by other participants. ForeLoop is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards, but no system is completely secure. We may update this policy as ForeLoop changes and will update the effective date above.
